Advertising leaflets were very common in the 80s for a variety of items and services. Movie studios, game
companies, shop owners, all had limited advertising options back then. A cheap method was to create
colourful leaflets with information about a movie, game, whatever which could be distributed almost
anywhere. Nintendo used this method extensively with numerous posters and leaflets for the game&watch
series, an example of which we have here. This leaflet describes the micro vs. game&watch series with
information about the gameplay of all 3 games on the back. These are great display items and very rare.
The good thing is that they can be usually found for rather low prices so any collector can get a few!
The end price was 18.50 euros!

Shipping boxes aka "shippers" are the new craze among collectors who find these items both practical and
worth displaying. Practical because they can store their games in them and worth displaying because not
many are saved today and owning a nice collection of them will certainly put a collector in a top
position among game&watch collectors worldwide. These boxes are very hard to find. Some of them can be
found filled with remaining game stock, but most of them have been destroyed in the past since shops
would have no use for them after selling the games inside. This octopus shipper is no exception as the
seller found it someplace filled with games (lucky him!). Unfortunately, he decided to sell everything
separately so he didn't give any collector the choice of preserving it in the condition he found it. Pity
really!

Link. The story of this
game is more or less well known. When CGL decided to release Helmet in the UK, they were faced with a
strange dilemma. The name "helmet" wasn't appropriate for a minor's game since the meaning can be
sexually oriented for some people. The obvious alternative was not to release the game at all but at the
end they just decided to change the name to "Headache". All references to Helmet were replaced with the
word "Headache" and the game was released along the other gold games. Since it was only released in the
UK, therefore in limited quantities, it's considered to be very rare. The end price of 112.78 pounds is
rather low but that's probably because of the destroyed box.
